I hate to be reductive, because I do understand that there are so many complexities to getting along. I also believe that violence never serves us as well as another tact.

These stories are emblematic of an administration and culture that’s far more concerned with controlling the message than with freedom and democracy. The war in Iraq has cost much more than the lives lost and the treasure spent, it’s robbing our nation’s very identity.

Every time the left/progressive movement defends something rather than asserts we lose. Anti-war is so much less powerful than peace. Anti-choice is so much wimpier than equal rights for women. Anti-global warming really begs the questions, while sustainability offers a vision.

A challenge for us all to put forth our visions, our hopes, our dreams & ideals. Then it’s easy to claim our progressive selves with pride & platform!

Impossible not to be moved to do something.
